Vevo Halloween is Here!
What is it that scares you senseless? Spiders, clowns, blood, snakes, rats? This October 29th sees Vevo Halloween raise hell at Liverpool’s very own Bramley-Moore Dock; urging you to realise your deepest, darkest fears at the BIGGEST Halloween party you’ll find this year.
Vevo Halloween is making its long-awaited Liverpool debut, with a haunting night that will feature live performances from 2016 Vevo LIFT artists – Aurora, Jack Garratt, Blossoms, Izzy Bizu and eagerly-awaited special guest Zara Larsson – all showcasing full sets at the dockland home of another eagerly-awaited annual music extravaganza, Liverpool Sound City.
“Halloween is our biggest UK live show, so what better place than Liverpool to host it!”
Feast your eyes and ears upon Aurora, a 19-year-old Norwegian singer-songwriter, crafting her synth-infused ‘dark pop’ with her new release ‘Conqueror’, whilst the BRITs Critics’ choice finalist Izzy Bizu will glide you across the Mersey with her sweet soul-jazz sound. Not forgetting the hi-tech one-man band Jack Garratt’s ambient-techno plaguing your consciousness while Blossoms, Stockport’s 4-piece who recorded their no1 album here at Parr Street and are now taking EVERYBODY by storm, who will grace our city with psychedelic pop fresh from the hounds of hell.
And the finale…Swedish singer-songwriter special guest Zara Larsson is one of Vevo’s newest Vevo LIFT artists, soaring to imminent superstardom this year with over 470 million streams of her debut single ‘Lush Life’. Now, this is your chance to see the platinum-selling star at Vevo’s biggest and best Halloween revelry to date. This is some sort of witchcraft, right?
But behold…the backdrop for these musical-delights. Guests and ghouls descending upon Bramley-Moore will shiver at the eerie moon reflecting over the Mersey as the bright lights of the city hover in the distance, while feeling their spines crawl at the abandoned warehouse that will, surely, have many a ghost tale to tell…
With an unrelenting mission to expose new and emerging artists, Vevo LIFT UK launched in 2011, catapulting the likes of James Bay, Years & Years and Lorde into music fans faces. With Liverpool’s passion for supporting new creative talent too, Vevo Halloween is yet another huge event on Liverpool soil that reinforces the city’s reputation as a figurehead for music and creatively innovative experiences.
According to Ed Walker, Vevo’s Head of Live Production, “Halloween is our biggest UK live show, so what better place than Liverpool to host it! We are thrilled to be hosting the event in the city, with its passion for supporting emerging music, Liverpool is the perfect fit for this show. We have 5 of the most exciting and new artists of the year playing at the Bramley-Moore Dock. We can’t wait.”
And what an amazingly ghoulish welcome they will receive. Vevo are one of the world’s most important platforms for music videos right now, and their decision to host their enormous annual Halloween bash upon the former coal-dock of Liverpool is sure to conjure a magical spell over the city for the entire Hallows’ Eve weekend.
Could Halloween get any scarier, bigger, BETTER? We’d like someone to try.
Join us at Bramley-Moore Dock this October 29th…if you dare.
