Can a club card have a sequel? It can now. Independent Liverpool are gearing up to release their new membership card. It’s bigger and better and (unlike most sequels) it won’t disappoint.

So what’s the deal? There are now around 100 independent venues offering discounts to more than 11,000 Independent Liverpool cardholders. The aim of the scheme is simple; to encourage people to eat, drink and shop in Liverpool’s ever growing number of independent venues.

The card, now in its third iteration, follows Independent Liverpool’s new app which offers users a digital list of all participating venues, along with a ‘near me’ highlighting the closest venues.

“Our independent venues, like our people are what helps to set our city apart…”

Independent Liverpool co-founders Oliver Press and David Williams spoke to It’s Liverpool about their new card, Oliver said:

“It’s a pocket sized tour guide that helps you save money. The new card’s design will be unveiled on the 16th June. We think people will like the new design. We’re proud of the new design of the card, it really captures our new identity and it shows a snapshot of the unique independent tour of Liverpool that we’re taking people on. We hope people will put it in their pocket for another year.”

David added: “Liverpool’s a special place and its independent venues, just like its people are what helps to set the city apart. Everyone loves the card but we want to keep things fresh and the latest card look’s just that bit sharper and more, well, independent.

“Liverpool has been so supportive of this initiative. It’s been an easy sell really. People love a good deal in a great venue and I hope more people will adopt the new card and shop independently.”

Our advice, get rid of those old receipts and loyalty cards you never use and make room for Independent Liverpool new, improved club card.
