Liverpool, You’ve Got Style

Liverpool, You’ve Got Style

London. Paris. New York. Yeah they’re good, but they’re not a patch on Liverpool. We’ve got real people with raw style and bags of attitude to pull it all off…and we’re going out there to capture you all to prove it.

This July, British Style Collective presented by The Clothes Show in association with Alcatel is coming to Liverpool for a citywide takeover of style. New dates, new city, new experience…

Ladies and gentleman, be sure to wear your most extraordinary outfit on the city’s streets, because It’s Liverpool and British Style Collective are about to shout about how damn good you look – just in time for the big finale in July. Hey, we aren’t the new Clothes Show host for nothin’…

You’re here for a reason: you’ve got some crackin’ clobber! Where’s everything from?

I do a lot of my shopping online or I order into the store. The top is from Lost Art (Liverpool based) about 2 years ago. The blue ‘Michigan Jacket’ is Carhartt, trousers are also Carhartt. I ordered the trousers into Weavers Door and bought the jacket there. The trainers are Adidas Spezial Indoor Court, they only released a certain amount for sale so I had to literally wait online until they went on sale and buy them as fast as possible. They are from END.

What do you reckon influences your style?

I follow a lot of brands and sort of boutique type stores on Instagram, a lot of them in Europe. I also follow people like Gary Aspden who designs Adidas Spezial. I  wouldn’t say I’m particularly influenced by a person, I tend to just buy clothes that I like and that I don’t see that often just because I like them. I spend a lot of money on what I wear.

What’s your go-to when you can’t think of what to wear?

Jeans, trainers and a tshirt. I’ve also got this khaki Fjallraven overshirt that goes with pretty much everything I own.
